Setting to Add Custom Domain to BlogSpot



If we want to link our custom domain to blogspot.com, then we have to do some setting which is given below


Now we are going to tell you some settings that you can do it by yourself.


  1. Firstly you buy a domain name from different website like Godaddy, Bigrock etc.
  2. You can purchase your domain for up-to 1-10 years.
  3. Whenever you buy a domain it is very important to have ready email id .
  4. Now go to blogger.com and read the instructions written below carefully.


Setup your custom domain to blogger


First login to blogger.com and after that you will see a dashboard. On the left hand side, you will see a setting option, click on it.

As shown in the picture, you have to go to Settings (1) and click on Basic , on right side window page click on +Set up a third-party URL for your Blog.



By clicking on the number (2), a new page will open as shown below.


Now write your domain name on number (3), which has already been purchased, attention here before your domain name www. Do not forget to write (WWW dot) after that click on save


This is the most important setting (C NAME) as shown in the picture that you need to add to your domain dashboard.

Instructions for linking C NAME and A records to your blogger.com custom domain


Now click on your domain name, after that you go to your domain DNS Management and then click on Manage DNS. A new window page will open as shown in the image below.



Here you will see CNAME click on it

After clicking, you have to write something in this page as shown in the picture

After that you have to click on add record. Well you have to add another C NAME as shown in this above picture

After that you have to click on add record. 

Now you have to add A Record for blogger.com as shown in the picture below



Now there are some 4 IP addresses that you have to add to A Record

216.239.32.21
216.239.34.21
216.239.36.21
216.239.38.21

Add an IP address as shown in the figure below.

Click on Add Record

Do the same again for 3 IPs and add A Name. Now your domain name is all set and check your website online. 

You can try hitting your domain URL: Google Chrome.
